Tool / Four questions
PositionQuiz
Four questions, three positions. No email, no account, nothing stored.
Most position lists hand you forty options and leave the choosing to you, which is the hard part and the reason people give up and run the same three forever. This does the choosing.
It asks what you have got in the tank, what you are actually after, anything sore worth avoiding, and how much you are prepared to set up. Then it matches those answers against what each of the 55 guides on this site already says about itself, and gives you three to start from.
Find One ForTonight
The quiz runs in your browser. If it has not appeared, JavaScript is switched off or has not loaded, and everything it does is written out below instead. The four questions are these:
How much is in the tank tonight?
This decides more than anything else on the list. Nothing left, A normal evening, Genuinely up for it.
What are you actually after?
Pick the one that matters most tonight, not in general. Being close, Depth, Someone in charge, Something new.
Anything worth working around?
Pick any that apply. This filters rather than scores, so nothing that loads a sore joint gets suggested. Knees, Lower back, Wrists or shoulders, Neck, Hips or hamstrings, Nothing to work around.
How much setting up?
Honestly. A position that needs a prop you will not fetch is not a position. None at all, A pillow is fine, Furniture or a wall.
Take your answers to the table further down. It carries the same attributes the quiz matches on, for all 55 positions, and you can read it straight.
How ItDecides
There is no clever model underneath this. Every position guide on the site already declares four things about itself in the strip near the top: how much effort it takes, how steep the angle is, how long it runs, and who it suits. The comfort note on each page names the joints that position actually loads. That is the whole dataset, and it was written before the quiz existed.
Energy and setup work as scores. What you are after works as a score. A sore joint works as a filter. If you tell it your wrists are complaining, every position whose own comfort note warns about wrists comes out of the results entirely rather than being nudged down the list, because a position that hurts is not a near miss.
If the filters leave nothing, it says so and shows the closest three with the filter off, labelled. It will not quietly drop the constraint and pretend it matched.

Questions PeopleAsk
How does the position quiz work?
Four questions: how much energy you have, what you are actually after, anything sore worth working around, and how much setting up you are willing to do. It matches those against what each of the 55 guides already states about itself, and returns three to start with.
Where do the recommendations come from?
From the guides themselves. Every position on this site declares its effort, its angle, how long it runs and which joints its comfort note tells you to look after. The quiz reads those attributes. Nothing is scored on opinion and nothing is collected from anyone.
Does it store my answers?
No. The quiz runs entirely in your browser, nothing is sent anywhere, and nothing is saved between visits. Reload the page and it has forgotten you.
What if I say a joint is sore?
That becomes a hard filter rather than a scoring nudge. Any position whose own comfort note names that joint is removed from the results completely, because suggesting it anyway would be worse than suggesting nothing.
What if nothing matches?
It tells you so, then shows the closest three with the comfort filter switched off and says that is what it did. It will not quietly pretend the filter was met.
